In late 2018, almost a thousand people travelled from near and far to a small, historic town just outside of Nottingham for a beer festival. What they weren't quite expecting, however, was to be transported 1300km away to Munich...
The Garage Chilwell
Friday Session - 5pm - 11:00pm
Family Oktoberfest (Saturday) - 1pm - 4pm
Saturday Session - 5pm - 11:00pm
This October we will be bringing that special part of Munich back to the East Midlands at this year’s Oktoberfest beer festival.
For just 2 days, we will be transforming The Garage back into our Barvarian Beer Hall with authentic and official Oktoberfest beer, authentic German food like bratwurst, currywurst and pretzels, authentic German music by one of the UK's top Oompah bands and of course one of the best atmospheres of any venue in the England.
When we say authentic and official Oktoberfest beer, we don’t mean “specially brewed” knock-off beer by some random unheard of corporate brewery, we mean we'll importing one of Germany's favourite and official Oktoberfest beers, the Paulaner Oktoberfestbier.
This pilsner styled lager is made using the glacial waters found underneath Munich and makes up what is one of only six authorised beers sold at the official Oktoberfest in Germany. At 6% it is sure to get you in the stein clinking, bench swaying and song singing spirit that will make this night an unforgettable one for you and your mates.
And keeping up our support for local breweries, we'll also have Brewsters Helles available. This crisp, traditional styled helles lager is modest in strength at 4%, but still provides a great way of joining in with the party.
We've got an authentic German Oompah band on both Friday and Saturday night. This band of Bavarian brothers will be treating you to traditional German music as well as sing-along classics and games to play, keeping you entertained throughout the night. They are regulars at some of the UK's biggest venues such as the Alexandra Palace, London.
If you’ve ever attended any of our Street Food Smoke Ups you’ll know that we get in some of the very best street food chefs in the country.
The German Grill will we back serving up his stunning bratwurst, currywurst and flamed cooked salmon. He was a favourite last year and it's going to be an absolute pleasure to have these guys back in 2019.
Disco Fries will also be heading down the The Garage, serving up their legendary loaded fries. These lot have now got one of the biggest reputations in the country for their glorious fries so it's an honour to have them back. They are the ideal snack to keep you fuelled up and awake long into the night.
